Frequently Asked Questions

What does working with a broker cost me?

Nothing. Our services are paid by the insurance carriers, so you get expert, independent guidance at no added cost — the plan price is the same whether you use us or not.

Do you help both businesses and individuals?

Yes. We work with Montana employers on group benefits, with individuals and families on their own coverage, and with people navigating Medicare.

When can I enroll in a health plan?

Individual plans are generally available during the annual Open Enrollment Period, or during a Special Enrollment Period triggered by a qualifying life event such as losing coverage, marriage, a new baby, or a move. Group and Medicare timelines differ — we will walk you through what applies to you.

What is the difference between fully insured and level-funded?

With a fully insured plan you pay a fixed premium and the carrier takes on the claims risk. A level-funded plan is a form of self-funding with fixed monthly payments and stop-loss protection, plus the potential for a refund if claims come in low.

What is an ICHRA?

An Individual Coverage HRA lets an employer reimburse employees, tax-free, for individual health insurance instead of offering a traditional group plan. It gives you budget control and gives employees plan choice.

Can you help if I am losing my job-based coverage?

Yes. Losing coverage opens a Special Enrollment Period, usually for 60 days. We can compare your options — including Marketplace plans and any subsidies you may qualify for — and get you covered before there is a gap.

Do you stay involved after I enroll?

Always. We answer questions year-round, help with claims and billing issues, handle adds and changes, and review your plan at every renewal.

How do I get started?

Call us, email us, or send a note through the contact form. We will set up a quick conversation to understand your needs and lay out clear options.
